Painter, sculptor, engraver, and architect. One of the founders of the Haarlem School of Netherlandish mannerism. Strongly influenced by the figures of Michelangelo, he produced a number of works with nudes in sexual contexts, such as "Diana discovering the pregnancy of Kallisto."
